Toyworld TW-D02 Muddy - Pictorial Review

Time for another Dinobot, this time the second figure from Toyworld lineup, Muddy (Not-Sludge). TW-D01 Muddy is one of four Not-Sludge released for CHRUG line (the other 3 are Fansproject's Columpio, Planet X's Neptune and the most recent, GCreation Thunderous, which I will be reviewing afterwards).

As of now I only had the chance to review Fansproject's version and can be found here.

Review of previous Toyworld Dinobot, Roar (Not-Snarl) can be found here.

In Package

Muddy comes in a black box with the nice artwork of the character on the front, just like TW-D01 Roar.

Mastermind Creations R-01C Terminus Hexatron Continuum - Pictorial Review

Sorry for not having new reviews recently, was in the middle of moving to a new house and also my daughter was not well for quite some time.

This review of MMC R-01C Terminus Hexatron Continuum will be brief as the main review had been done for R-01 Terminus Hexatron. This figure is the 4th variant after Hexatron Super Nova (Limited Edition), Terminus Hexatron and Terminus Hexatron Shadow Emissary.

In Package

This is by far my favorite packaging compared to the rest of Hexatron's variants. It's not that the packaging of the Reformatted Line is bad or anything, but there's something about the badass artwork on the box that I love so much. But is that it?

Nope, inside there's a second clear packaging, homaging G1-style packaging. While I personally don't prefer this clear packaging as they tend to crack overtime, with proper care and handling, I don't think there will be a problem here.

The Japanese style artwork at the back of the box really gives me G1 Headmaster vibes.

TFC Prometheus [Project Prometheus] - Pictorial Review

*Just noticed that the setup of my camera went haywire, sorry for the quality of the pictures*

It has been almost a year since Gumball was released, and now; Project Prometheus is reaching it's end. For those who missed, below are the reviews of the 5 members of Prometheus chronologically.

Pic Credit: TFWiki

Defensor's existence revolves around the safety of others, specifically to safeguard human life. Yet, in return it becomes his weakness, taken advantage of by his rival, Bruticus and the Decepticons.

TFC Verti-Aid [Project Prometheus] - Pictorial Review

A figure that I've been looking forward to, but mostly because he's the last component of TFC Prometheus. To be frank, when TFC revealed their version of First Aid and Blades months back, only Red Cross (First Aid) really caught my attention while Verti-Aid seemed a bit underwhelming. So, we'll find out whether my first thought of him justified.

Pic Credit : Web

In IDW Generation 1 Continuity, Blade was part of Autobot security force, on duty in the city of Kaon. The force was given task of hunting down the renegade operators of the gladiatorial contests held in the slum areas of Cybertron, which they succeeded. Among the captives, the soon-to-be-known-as Megatron.

Pic Credit : Web

Blade's G1 toy transform into a rescue helicopter that really looks like a Bell UH-1V Iroquois. Despite being a Scramble City-style combiner limb, Blade normally form Defensor's right arm.

Previous TFC Not-Protectobots' reviews can be found below

In Package

The last release of TFC that will be using this design. Personally, I like that every TFC combiners has their own theme but keeping the overall look and feel of the packaging.

Unlike other members of Prometheus, I don't really like the artwork of Verti-Aid as I don't really feel the connection between him and Blade.

Unique Toys Ordin O-02 Alberich - Pictorial Review

Sorry for the delay of this review as I know the 3rd component is on his way to retails as we speak. Hope you enjoy the review of UT Ordin O-02 Alberich (Not-Rippersnapper).

Taking Sharknado to another level
Pic Credit : TFWiki

Just like the rest of the Terrocons, Rippersnapper first appeared during G1 episode Grimlock's New Brain, with his fellow teammates under the order of Galvatron to retrieve the anti-electrons. In IDW Generation 1 Continuity, Rippersnapper was a big fan of Sixshot during the war. The Terrorcons were taken hostage by the Reapers with intend to lure Sixshot out.

Review of Unique Toys Ordin O-01 Troll (Not-Blot) can be found here.

Box : Front View
Alberich comes in quite a small box, just like Troll. The artwork used on the front is really nicely done, reminding of IDW circa 2007/2008.

Fansproject LER-02 Cubrar w/ Tekour - Pictorial Review

Dinobots, Dinobots, Dinobots (after Combiners, Combiners, Combiners!!) !!

There are 2 versions of Generation-size Dinobots currently in the market, the first being Toyworld version and second is Fansproject. Both now are on their 2nd figure and here's the review of LER-02 Cubrar w/ Tekour (Normal Retail Version), Fansproject version of Dinobot Slag (Toyworld version of Sludge will be arriving maybe after Chinese New Year).

Another version of Dinobot Slag (by Fans Toys) and character background can be found here.

Review of LER-01 Columpio w/ Drepan can be found here.

In Package

Packaging for LER-02 has the same design as LER-01 Columpio w/ Drepan.

Fans Toys FT-05 Soar - Pictorial Review

I think this is one of the releases fans been waiting for quite so far, with the success of his predecessor, he becomes one of fans' favorite even before he was release, especially to Masterpiece collectors. I give you, Fans Toys FT-05 Soar (Not-Swoop).

Detail about the character and a review of Planet X's version of Swoop (Fall Of Cybertron version) can be found here.

Review of FT-04 Scoria can be found here.

You can pre-order yours at 1 Toy.

In Package

In general, Soar still maintained the same box design as Scoria but if you look closely, the name of the line has been changed from Iron Dibots to Iron Dinobots. I'm not sure whether the former was a mistake or Fans Toys changed it on purpose.

TFC Red Cross [Project Prometheus] - Pictorial Review

I know it's late but still, Happy New Year!

This will be my first review for 2015, another release by TFC, the fourth member of Project Prometheus, Red Cross (Not-First Aid)

Pic Credit : Web

First Aid in general appeared togather with the rest of the Protectobots in Generation 1 cartoon, rather then just by himself. It's actually a common fate shared by almost all combiner team members. Aside from that, First Aid also played the role of Autobot's doctor from time to time, healing both his comrades and also aiding their human allies.

Other TFC Not-Defensor reviews can be found below :

Red Cross's packaging follows the same design as the rest of his team members, following TFC way of doing specific design for each combiner team.

TFC Hydrant [Project Prometheus] - Pictorial Review

Another combiner review, coming up! Let's take a break from Maketoys Quantron for awhile and proceed with TFC latest offering, Hydrant (Hotspot) of Prometheus (Protectobot).

Pic Credit : http://www.transformers-universe.com
Hotspot and the Protectobots are closer to the human than any other Autobots, giving their all in protecting them. However, it doesn't mean that they are not natural fighters. Countless time has the Protectobots become the opposing force battling the Decepticons, especially, the Combaticons.

TFC Phobus [Project Ares] - Pictorial Review

Finally, roughly 10 months after the release of TFC Nemean, Ares is now complete with the arrival of the last piece, Phobus (Not Divebomb). A little back story of Divebomb and the review of Phobus's MMC counterpart, Talon, can be found here.

So, let us begin.

In Package

Phobus's first surprised is the size of the box he came in. It was first hinted by RobotKingdom that Phobus will have the same shipping cost as TFC Nemean (Not-Razorclaw) and SR-71 Blackbird (Not-Silverbolt) however, having it in hand, was quite shocked with the size and the weight.

Warbotron WB-03A [Not] Afterburner - Pictorial Review

This review is courtesy of 1Toy. Preorder yours today!

First and foremost! I"M SO SORRY FOR THE DELAY! Kind on busy lately with work and the baby, tried my best to complete this as soon as I can. Sorry guys.

It's combiner after combiner nowadays! After Toyworld Roar and Unique Toys Troll, I present to you, Warbotron's rendition of Abominus's rival, Afterburner of Technobots!

Pic Credit : TFWiki

Afterburner is a member of the Technobots that was created by Grimlock in the episode Grimlock's New Brain to rival Abominus, that also made his debut in the same episode. Personally, the Technobots has the best origin of all the G1 combiners, watched the episode over and over again when I was a kid.

G1 Afterburner

Unlike the toy, Afterburner was portrayed in the cartoon as mostly red, the same as the rest of the Technobots.

Unique Toys Ordin O-01 Troll - Pictorial Review

This review is courtesy of 1Toy.

Not every time a company can surprised the fans. After their debut release Warlord (Not-Predaking), Unique Toys released quite a few figures that showed significant improvement product after product. Most notable personally from me would be Mania King, their own rendition of G1 Galvatron. When people thought they are through with combiners, Unique Toys releases pictures of their version of G1 Abominus, dubbed Ordin and Troll, their Not-Blot.

Blot and the rest of the Terrocons made their debut during G1 Episode Grimlock's New Brain, assaulting the Autobots as they arrive at Unicron's head led by Grimlock to stop Galvatron from harvesting more anti-electrons.

Toyworld TW-D01 Roar - Pictorial Review

This review is courtesy of 1Toy. Preorder yours today!

Year of Dinobots indeed! Fansproject Columpio, despite being a great figure and surely a hit considering how big their fanbase are, is not really my cup of tea. Luckily, Toyworld also ventured into the world of the Dinobots this year with their first release, Roar (Not-Snarl)

Pic Credit : Web

Unlike Grimlock, Sludge and Slag, Snarl was created as the second batch of Dinobots, together with Swoop, by Wheeljack. The Dinobots in general are not really people-friendly bunch of bots but Snarl took it to another level. An unhappy and unsociable loner by nature, Snarl's actions are the ideas of the others, having not much opinions and even less expressing them.

Fansproject LER-01 Columpio w/ Drepan - Pictorial Review

Last time it was about combiners but 2014, the attention turns to another nostalgic and group, the Dinobots. Despite the hype of Age Of Extinction version of the Dinobots seems to end a bit prematurely, 3rd Party companies are now on a race. I've discussed about the Masterpiece-scale Dinobots here, now is the time for CHURG-size Dinobots.

The first 3rd Party CHURG-sized Dinobots released was Planet X Caelus, to compliment War For Cybertron/Fall Of Cybertron line. Now, it's time for an offering by Fansproject, the first of their Lost Exo Realm (LER) line, Columpio (Not-Sludge) w/ Drepan

Pic Credit : TFWiki

Sludge, one of the first 3 Dinobots to be created alongside Grimlock and Slag on the G1 episode, S.O.S Dinobots. Despite being a powerful adversary, Sludge level of stupidity is his biggest weakness. Easily manipulated, Megatron managed to turn him against Optimus Prime in the episode War of the Dinobots.

Mastermind Creations [Reformatted] Feral Rex - Pictorial Review

Predaking, the beast of all combiners. As opposed to decreasing in intelligence experienced by most of other combiners, Predaking somehow manages to combine all the personalities of the components into one perfect, animalistic hunter.

Pic Credit : Web

So, here it is, the long awaited Mastermind Creations Feral Rex, completed. And it's impressive. First thing first, presenting the Feral Cons!

Feral Cons in Alt Mode

Feral Cons is robot mode

There's a certain degree of satisfaction whenever a combiner team is complete. Staring at the images, the uniformity of the design of all members is awesome.

Mastermind Creations R-06 Tigris - Pictorial Review

It seems like forever since Talon was teased and finally the [core members of] Feral Cons are complete, with the release of R-06 Tigris

Review of TFC version of Rampage can be found here.

Considering he's the fifth, there's not much to say about the box except that it follows the design of the rest of Feral Cons.

Warbotron WB01C Sly Strike - Pictorial Review

This review is courtesy of X2OToys

http://x2otoys.com/goods.php?id=391

Combiner, Combiner, Combiner! Yet again, this is a review of a Combiner member, the 3rd so far for his line, Warbotron WB01C-C Sly Strike (Not-Swindle).

Pic Credit : Web

One might remember this particular member of the Combaticons as being a great tactician, fearless combatant and many more...that ain't true. He's in short, a con-man. That's it. If that term never existed before, it would be created for him.

During the episode B.O.T, Bruticus (Combaticons combined) was defeated by Defensor with Swindle being the sole survivor. What he did after that was, he proceeded to sell the parts of his comrades to various buyer in which, even for Megatron that is wicked and evil, is consider wrong. Hence, a bomb was planted inside his head and given 15 hours to rebuild his fellow Combaticons

Mastermind Creations R-02 Talon - Pictorial Review

Seems that recently, everything is about combiners, even I feel more excited whenever a combiner team member arrive. Now, for something that's been long overdue, Mastermind Creations Talon (Not-Divebomb).

G1 Divebomb's Box Art
Pic Credit : TFWiki

Along with the other Predacons, Divebomb was created in 2006, given by the Quintessons as a symbol of the alliance between them and Galvatron. Forming Predaking's left arm, Divebomb is one of the deadliest predator in the sky that enjoys nothing other than destruction.

G1 Divebomb (and the rest of the Predacons) was released in 1986 in individual pack (D-75) and also in gift set (D-78) .
