Next is SS-100, the face of Transformers Live Action movies, Bumblebee. It doesn't look like a coincidence that the first 100 SS lineup starts and ends with Bumblebee.
In Package
If you noticed, the Bumblebee in the artwork is bulkier and less lean compared to the Bayverse version. He resembles Volkswagen Bumblebee from BB Movie more in terms of proportion.
Alt Mode
SS100 transform into a modified 1977 Camaro, with a bulkier look in alt mode.
This is a unique look for Camaro BB, after previously released SS15 Bumblebee with body kit
The weapons can be stored just fine in alt mode with one underneath and the other on the back
I honestly couldn't remember which Bumblebee I'm using to compare him, if not mistaken it's Buzzworthy 2-pack Clunker Bumblebee and Barricade
As you can see, his yellow is a bit lighter than the other. The rims are unpainted which more likely due to cost-saving . But we'll see in the movie.
Rims aside, the overall detailing are good, front to back. There was a time when back of the alt mode wasn't painted at all.
Comparison with SS ROTB Core Arcee |
Robot Mode
Behold, SS100 Bumblebee in robot mode!
Previous iteration of SS Bumblebee were differently proportioned compared to this which actually follow the bulkiness of the releases from Bumblebee Movie.

Standard kibble for movie Bumblebee. But the tires, those are new. In Bayverse, the tires were at the ankles rather than on the side of the shins.
Articulation wise, he's good. More importantly, the joints are tight to withstand the poses.
SS-100 comes with 2 weapons. An arm blaster and a blade.
The blade is underwhelming. Most of previous Movie Bumblebees, the blades were properly detailed and painted.
The different proportion of Bumblebees.
The one on the left is SS-01 Bumblebee while the one on the right is Jeep Bumblebee from BB Movie. As you can see, the SS-100 evolved into a bulkier but slightly shorter figure, a new proportion they introduced in BB Movie.
Nothing much I can say about a Movie Bumblebee figure but minus the blade, the executions are done almost perfectly. Wonder what will be his fate in the movie. He'd been Transformers poster boy for 16 years since 2007. Will he be replaced? Only time will tell
