Transformers Legacy Deluxe Class Tarantulas - Pictorial Review

Let's continue with our Legacy releases, this time with another Beast Wars character. Getting closer to the completion of the main Predacon, Tarantulas.

Alt Mode

First and foremost, he's not a retool of Blackarachnia. Clear!

The tarantula mode is solid, unlike Blackarachnia, without any loose parts.

The overall paint jobs are nicely done without any smudges. The color resembles his cartoon appearance instead of the BW toy version (which we know a toy repaint is inevitable).

Just like other BW releases, the surfaces are more detailed and texturized, which is not the case for most G1 characters version of Generation releases.

His bow/gun can be stored securely at the back while his rotating saw is underneath.

One step closer in completing the Predacons. I can't say much about the scale as they are all over the place in the BW cartoon.

Robot Mode

The transformation is straight forward, practical and less finicky.

Overall, the joints are tight and the figure is stable.

Kibble wise, it's minimal and acceptable. Technically, he's quite accurate to the source material.

While the weapons can be attached together, it is better to hold it separately to not hinder his elbow articulation. The bow/gun could've had better paint job though.

Articulation wise, he's quite good. It is expected for an organic-style figure such as him. At least on my copy, there's no looseness even at the hip joints (which is usually the case for most deluxe releases)

One thing that almost made me not collecting them is how Hasbro sometimes stopped midway in completing a lineup such as this. Even Takara's MP Beast Wars seems to have stopped after Tigatron.

We have completed original Maximals lineup and with Inferno coming, so will the Predacons. Transmetal next?
