Transformers Age of The Primes Voyager Class Heatwave - Pictorial Review

First and foremost, a big thank you to Hasbro SG and Hasbro MY for this review item. Apologies for the delay in getting this up; I was recovering from a nasty bout of the flu.

It's been a while since I've had a chance to do a toy review, so I'm excited to dive back in with this figure!

In Package

For those who haven't notice, this is the new template for Transformers mainlines, namely Age of The Primes and Studio Series. They share the same style of box design aside from the color line (in this case orange) with the name of the line.

The side and the back of the box gives us a clean, angular look at Heatwave in his robot form, continuing the aesthetic established on the front.

Alt Mode

Heatwave's alternate mode is a large, bulky, red and blue fire engine. The overall look is very solid, with a nice silhouette that captures the essence of a futuristic fire truck, while in a way maintaining the vibe of Rescue Bot's Heatwave

The finish on the vehicle mode is glossy and vibrant. The red and blue plastic colors are bright and distinct, and the windows and details are applied cleanly. The wheels could've use more color but this is not something new

From the rear, we can see the fire ladder and the back of the vehicle. The overall finish is okay, with no obvious gaps or loose parts.

Chase didn't make much sense back when he was released, but it always get better with more members released.

Rescue Mission

Robot Mode

Just as Bulkhead, the transformation from vehicle to robot mode is simple and straightforward, and the resulting robot mode is clean and heroic.

A close-up of the robot mode highlights some great features, and a few minor issues. The paint application on the face and chest is very clean. The articulation is okay; you can see a good range of motion in the shoulder joints.

Compared to Legacy Bulkhead, I think I like it better as Heatwave. Not because it fit Heatwave better, just that the mold didn't do justice to Bulkhead's character

Overall, the figure is solid with the joints feel sturdy, and the figure holds poses well. The color is no doubt, vibrant.

The joints in his knees, elbows, and hips allow for a considerable range of poses, which is a big plus for playability and display. My son, especially, loves him and Chase

I have a plan of collecting all of Transformers Lines, as much as possible. Armada for instance, I can't bring myself to collect the original toys due to the various design limitation. Legacy remake of the line is the answer for me.

Same as these 2. I definitely wouldn't buy the original Rescue Bots line. But this is quite cool
