Continuing on after holiday break. Another review courtesy of Hasbro Malaysia and Hasbro Singapore
This Sideswipe is based on his appearance in the WFC game which means it's the 2nd release after Generation WFC years ago.
Let's go
In Package
Beautiful artwork used, I always like the design of WFC in general, even more than FOC.
Back View |
Alt Mode
Sleek car mode. If you think this is the same as the previous release, you're wrong (not by the looks of the alt mode though)
The alt mode stays together well and feels heavier and more compact.
The detailing is quite basic, just what you'd expect what should be there.
His gun can be attached on the roof of the car. Generally I don't like big weapon appendage but considering the size, it's acceptable. Plus they're in Cybertron, they're not hiding.
Robot Mode
2 important things compared to Generation WFC version. Transformation is better than his predecessor and now he doesn't look like he's carrying front side of his car.
The car front becomes the back kibble. Not the worst I've ever seen. As far being accurate, the chest piece and generally the back are almost on point.
The con? Underwhelming weapon, compared to previous version. And I personally not a fan of attaching the blasters to their hands
Articulation wise, he's average for a deluxe figure. The joints mostly are friction, standard for a deluxe figure and enough to support him for doing poses.
So far so good. The SS WFC line may not be a fan favorite but I think it has big potential. The designs are generally true to the official design and the playability is quite good.
I guess things will pickup when more fan favorite characters being release. I have FOC Bruticus and Dinobots in mind.
Sewaipppppp!
