My next McFarlane review, MK11 Shadow Of Spawn. I took a risk on this when the PO was online without the actual product image.
But from the MK11 list of skins for Spawn, it's clear that it will be a homage to classics Spawn deco
They've been lazy in terms of Spawn's MK11 packaging. Well, easier to throw the box away later.
Lo and behold. Shadow of Spawn (SoS) comes a base which is standard. But the chain, now that's something I really like
SoS comes with 2 chains and each can be attached on both sides on his lower back. The chain is made out of grey rubbery plastic and not easily shaped (hint: hot water).
As you would expect being an MK11 variant, he comes with the big right boot and gauntlet. While people might complain as the deco itself is already based on the Classics version, bear in mind he is still an MK11 variant.
Despite the overall body design is based on previous MK11 Spawn, SoS body is cleaner without being overly details top to bottom.
Articulation wise, SoS is generally the same as other Mcfarlane releases. The joints are tight, at least on my copy.
The deco works for me, that's for sure. The paint app also clean without any smudges.
All 4 MK11 Spawns. The best out of the 4, with Commando Spawn a close 2nd.
The thing about Spawn releases is that, you'll feel that most of them are the same. But in hand and next to one another, you can see the differences. And it's not just the decos.
