McFarlane DC Multiverse Black Adam (Black Adam Movie) - Pictorial Review

There's no point having Sabbac from Black Adam movie, if you don't have Black Adam himself. While I'm still contemplating the other 4 characters (depending on how the movie goes) Black Adam was a quick 'Yes', back when he was just revealed.

Although initially I was thinking of getting the hooded version but after seeing some issues with it, I opted for unhooded version.

Right out of the box, I'm fairly impress. The figure is beautifully sculpted.

The suit is matte dark grey with tons of sculpted details and the belt, arm guards and boots are weathered gold.

The symbol on his chest is not simply painted but rather, looks like a separate piece glued on. The head sculpt, while not as good as Star Wars Black Series and the likes, still hold uncanny resemblance to The Rock.

Just for fun, I used a custom Star Wars robe and made it into a simple hoodies. Not perfect but yes, it is doable. But because the suit is made out of rubber, it may be hard to find color that will fit perfectly.

The body shape looks really muscular and intimidating, suiting the actor it is modelled after.

He comes with (aside from the standard base) 2 yellow lightning effects. While they are made out of soft rubber, it's  not that easily bendable and will hug his arms almost perfectly and snug (but due to the material, I foresee they will be quite loose over time).

He has no issue in terms of stability, good for him. Articulation wise, he follow the standard McFarlane figure's range of movement. Although there is limitation on the head as he can't look down (due to the shape of the head and neck). And don't try to bend the waist more than that.

Unlike some newer Spawn figures, his crotch is made out of less-flexible soft plastic, limiting the forward movement of his legs. If I remember correctly, he is like the old Snyder Cut JL figures.

Poseability and aesthetic wise, he is a cool figure. Since the movie is not out yet, I have no idea how this fight will turn out.

One thing that disappointed me is the fact that he doesn't come with a flight stand. Would've been cooler if he did.

Size wise, he is a tad bit smaller than JLSC Superman, which doesn't reflect the actors in real life. Is it because McFarlane don't care? Or that's how the characters are portrayed?

My initial plan was to stop DCEU at JLSC. Suicide Squad 2 didn't caught my attention at all. But Black Adam & Sabbac....the aesthetic just works for me. While I need to wait for the movie for the remaining 4, these 2 will stay in my collection despite however the movie turns out to be.
