Transformers Age of The Primes Limited Edition GWP (Gift with Purchase)

We meet again, now during this exciting new line, Age of The Primes. I must tell you, I haven't been buying the whole wave of Transformers release since forever now.

As part of the Age of the Primes promotional campaign, Hasbro released an exclusive Gift With Purchase (GWP) item for select purchases in the Age of the Primes toyline. The gift? A set of three collectible character magnets featuring Solus Prime, Prima Prime, and Megatronus Prime — three of the original Thirteen Primes in Transformers lore, made mainstream through Transformers One recently (but not the same design)

Let's see them one by one

Packaging

Prima Prime

Solus Prime

The magnets came neatly packed in a slim box bearing the Age of the Primes logo. On the top left is the name of the character and on the top right is each Prime's symbol. Inside, each magnet was taped on a base to prevent scratching.

Out of the Box

Wielding the legendary Star Saber, Prima Prime's stance is heroic and commanding. His magnet features a more traditional knightly palette—blue, silvers, and glowing white highlights.

Depicted with her signature forging hammer, Solus's design shows her feminine side and her role as a forger. The artwork uses cool tones like purple and blue with white light around her.

Easily the most visually intense of the three, Megatronus is portrayed in a menacing pose but without fire rising from behind him as per the promotional poster (which would have been even better).

Another component of the GWP is a Magnetic Showcase Frame, which not made available just yet. Details of the program is as follow:

  • For Q2 of 2025, 3 out of 13 are made available (from 25 May onwards)
  • The magnet can be redeemed with a purchase of RM400 nett in single receipt, while the showcase frame with a purchase of RM800 nett in single receipt
  • 2 physical retailers that participated in this program are 1Toy and MyToy

It seems that, aside from hunting the 13 Primes, there's a side quest to hunt the magnets. Considering the purchase need to be made, 1 leader + 1 voyager (roughly, at retail price) would be enough .

Can't wait for 10 more. Get them at your favourite outlet

  1. Dang - Very cool looking magnets, and I won't lie I'm a tad jealous as these have not been offered here in the UK.
