Transformers Legacy United Voyager Class Vector Prime - Pictorial Review

Continuing on, next we have Legacy United Voyager Class Vector Prime. For those who don't know, Vector Prime is a character from Cybertron/Galaxy Force series and currently getting the Legacy-Update treatment.

Thanks to Hasbro Malaysia and Hasbro Singapore

In Package

Part of  3rd wave of Legacy United Voyager, Vector Prime. Vibrant artwork on the box.

Side Note. Will Hasbro go back to windowed box? Do we need it?

22-steps transformation, average for a voyager size figure.

Alt Mode

For those who may not realized, Vector Prime is a partial-retool of previously released Jhiaxus. But in alt mode, it's not something that obvious so kudos.

Compared to his Cybertron version, the Legacy design is less sleek and chunkier.

The detailing is really good, especially the gold colors. The side wings are made out of clear blue plastics.

While the front end is properly colored, the back looks a bit plain. If only the rich color continues from front to back.

Despite being voyager, the alt mode is not much bigger than Deluxe. But then again, Legacy Hotshot's alt mode size is not that small too.

Overall the alt mode feels average. However I'm letting it slide considering the amount of retool involves from Jhiaxus alt mode to this.

Robot Mode

My first impression on the design? He's a younger version of original Cybertron design. Maybe because of the tall but thin design.

The color choice work wells for him. The grey doesn't look cheap which is a big plus since it's easy for figure with a lot of grey parts to look like a cheap, dollar store toy.

Accessories wise, he comes with a sword and a Cyberkey (purely decorative, not activating any gimmick)

People might complaint about the placement of the key not following the original but this way, he can retain his waist swivel.

Compared to the previous version, he's considerably cleaner in terms of the kibble. The cyberkey and sword can be stored on his back.

Some hollow parts can be seen from back and front which is still consider minor.

Comparison with Legacy United Hotshot

So far, I can honestly say that the reboot version of Galaxy Force figures are worth getting, minus Siege Galaxy Upgrade Optimus Prime (you may disagree but not to me)

Size-wise, he's slightly taller than Legacy Galaxy Force Starscream.

What's a beautiful figure without good articulation.

Vector Prime articulation, while not being exceptional, is good enough for you to enjoy the figure. Main improvement compared to the previous version is the addition of waist swivel and ankle tilt/rocker

Bigger sword, maybe?

Not really a character that I like but the overall figure is enjoyable and a good addition for (1) those who collect Galaxy Force Reboot figure or (2) those who wants to collect the Primes.

The general quality is okay but there's a feeling of thinness much like G2 Jhiaxus.

Overall detailing and sculpt are nicely done. Retools done are on point, enough to make it look he has his own mold.
