Generations IDW Deluxe Crosscut - Pictorial Review

Now, a release from the same wave as Windblade, Generations Crosscut. Crosscut is one of the new "original G1 characters" in Transformers universe, an ambassador to almost every world known especially earth.

In IDW Dark Cybertron Chapter #7 The Dead Are Not Enough, Crosscut can be seen battling the Ammonites with the help of Swerve...who he confused with Rung...

G1 Crosscut was released on 2002 as e-Hobby Exclusive and sold togather in set with Road Rage. G1 Crosscut is a retool of G1 Skids and comes with a different head and hood.

Transformers Lost Age TRU Japan Exclusive Rusty Evasion Mode Optimus Prime

It's been 4 months since the launch of Age Of Extinction Toyline, but unlike the previous movie lines, I feel that AoE has a very limited offering in terms of their figures. Since May, we've seen a lot of repaints being done for these 2, Voyager Evasion Mode Optimus Prime and The Dinobots, ranging from regular Hasbro and Takara releases to Convention Exclusives.

Fans were disappointed when the first picture of Leader Class Optimus Prime for AoE surfaced, given that usually he's the best figure in the line. I was quite surprised to find out that compared to him, Voyager Evasion Mode Optimus Prime stands out more and comes out way better than the rest of the AoE figures.

Best of the bunch

Up until now, there are quite a lot of of variants for this figure starting from Hasbro Version, Takara Version, Platinum Edition (With Voyager Grimlock), Evolution 2-pack, Breakout Battle 3-pack, Autobots United 5-pack, Nemesis Prime and also, Rusty Version.

Rusty Version Optimus Prime was released as Toys "R" Us Japan Exclusive.

Age Of Extinction Platinum Edition Breakout Battle Rollbar - Pictorial Review

It's not uncommon to have a figure from a toyline to be released under different ones. Even in Transformers The Movie (TFTM) toyline, there are a lot of figures from the Unicron Trilogy being repainted and parked under that banner.

Even Universe 2.0 have a lot of non-original CHURG molds released under it. However, only Allspark Power Decepticon Fracture (Classics Mirage) and Classics Bumblebee of The Legacy of Bumblebee are the only characters that use CHURG's original mold to be released under non-CHURG toylines.

This year, we see another 2 sets that include CHURG's original molds. One would be AoE Evolution 2-Pack : Optimus Prime; and the other is AoE Platinum Edition Breakout Battle.

Just like The Legacy of Bumblebee set, I would only hunt the specific character, rather than getting the whole set. Hence for Breakout Battle, I hunt for Rollbar (and the same with Classics Optimus Prime from the 2-pack).

Generations IDW Deluxe Windblade - Pictorial Review

Now for the release that lots of fans have been looking forward to. Back in 2013, Hasbro started an initiative for fans to be involved in creating a whole new character, the "Fan-Built Bot".

There were 2 polls conducted, the first one commenced from April 18th 2013 to May 5th 2013 for fans to decide her faction, alternate mode, weapon, color scheme, and also personality; while the poll from May 10th 2013 to May 17th 2013 was conducted to select her name, gender, origin, and specialty. And all of that gave birth to Windblade.

Windblade has a four-issue miniseries, published by IDW from April to July 2014 while a second miniseries was planned under the title "Windblade Returns" which was changed back to "Transformers : Windblade"

Windblade comes from Caminus, a place whose inhabitants were cut off from Cybertron for millions of years. This change when Thunderclash came to seek help from Cityspeaker in order to aid Metroplex.

The road so far~

I'm in the middle of finishing my Generations Windblade review however still haven't finish doing her alt mode [finish the In Package and Alt Mode portions] so a few more hours delay I guess, sorry for that.

Aside from that, I'm planning to do MMC Talon [without combine mode, waiting for Tigris and do full review], maybe Age Of Extinction Rollbar from the Breakout Battle set. Was also thing whether or not I should do Age Of Extinction TRU Japan Exclusive Rusty Evasion Mode Optimus Prime and the rest of the new Generations releases (Jhiaxus, Crosscut, Nightbeat)

On separate note, quite proud of my archivement for now

Still few months till Black-Plastic-Life 2nd Anniversary. Thanks for the support

TFC Warning Line [Project Prometheus] - Pictorial Review

Time for another one! TFC has been releasing their product almost non-stop for few months now. Coming up in September is Hydrant (Not-Hot Spot) and Phobos (Not-Divebomb) on October. Wonder if we'll see a prototype of their new combiner around October or November. But first thing first, this review is about Groove of the Protectobots.

Pic Credit : TFWiki

Before we start, I must say this. Groove is a member of the Protectobots and he transform into a motorcycle which can be seen clearly from the picture above....

Despite being in the never-ending war of good and evil, Groove is one of those who hate combat or conflict. A free-spirited bot, Groove find serene in the open highway. However, Groove won't disappoint. Whenever someone needs him, be it the Autobots, the Protectobots or humans, he'll be there

Warbotron WB01B Heavy Noisy - Pictorial Review

Can't believe how late I am finishing this review, so sorry for that. The review is courtesy of X2OToys

The 2nd release from Warbotron is another component of WB01 Not-Bruticus, Heavy Noisy (Not-Brawl)

Pic Credit : TFWiki

Coming with a BOOM! Fitting his alt mode, Brawl is not someone who would sneak up on his enemy but rather they'll know his precense from miles away. Resurrected by Starscream from only his personality component doesn't mean that this particular Decepticon would bow to him. If not because of their energy absorbers taken 'hostage' by Starscream, chances are Brawl would've blown him to smithereens.

Meet the real me!
